Sunday School

Welcome to the 2020 – 2021 Sunday school year!

The last few months have been a roller coaster and we hope you and your families have stayed safe and healthy. It’s been a long time since the kids have gathered together but due to COVID-19, we will be running Sunday school remotely this year.

We’ll begin next week on October 4th, 2020.

We’ll continue learning from the curriculum LIFE: Live in Faith Everyday. This curriculum was created by Rachel, using resources and lessons from the past. Lessons will be broken up into units throughout the year. Each unit will consist of a series of Bible stories with a common theme.

Normally, our weeks would consist of playing games, working on individual and group projects, and exploring with hands-on activities and crafts to understand each theme in the Bible and connect it to real life as it is today. Due to being online, we’ll do our best to accommodate the remote learning so the kids get the most out of the lessons as well as have fun. This will be a great opportunity for you as the parents to explore these lessons and themes with your kids, to grow and learn together.

Resources and materials will be sent to you via email every Sunday. There is nothing you need to buy. We understand life has been hectic as of late with school reopening. There has been a lot of unexpected change all around us and understand everyone may be feeling a little stressed. This is why we’ve decided that lessons for Rachel’s class will be optional, but still encouraged.

Should you do the lessons with your kids, please send Rachel an email or text message sharing you child’s work. We’d love to keep in touch as much as possible.

More ideas to remain in touch and keep the kids engaged are in the works. Should you have any thoughts, please don’t hesitate to reach out.
